Cross-border airport shuttle

Buffalo Airport Shuttle to London, Ontario

London is the hub of southwestern Ontario and home to Western University. Buffalo Shuttle provides long-distance cross-border transfers to campus, hospitals and residential addresses.

  • From Buffalo Airport (BUF)
  • 2 hours 20 minutes to 3 hours
  • about 130 miles
  • US to Canada, both directions

For travelers heading to London, Ontario, the Forest City in the southwest of the province. Use it to confirm London rather than an intermediate stop, and to plan the longest of our regular Ontario runs, where the reasons people travel are usually medical, academic or family.

This is the right page if

  • You or a family member are travelling for care at London Health Sciences Centre.
  • You are a student, parent or visitor heading to Western University.
  • You are visiting a home or business in London and want one vehicle from BUF.

You may want a different page if

  • You are heading to Kitchener and the Waterloo region, which is closer and on the way. See that page.
  • You are going to Brantford, an earlier stop on the same inland route. See that page.

What to know before you arrive

London is the far end of our regular Ontario coverage, and people rarely make a trip this long for a view. The three reasons that bring airport travelers here are medical care at the London Health Sciences Centre, the university, and family. Each has its own practical shape. A hospital trip needs the right hospital and the right entrance, because University Hospital and Victoria Hospital are on different sides of the city. A campus trip at move-in needs the luggage volume. A family trip needs the street.

The length is the other thing. A run this long is planned differently: we track the flight more closely because a delay at BUF is a delay at the far end, we build the return into the same booking because arranging a ride back from London at short notice is hard, and we are straightforward about the time it takes rather than quoting a best case. If you are weighing Buffalo against Pearson for a London trip, the honest answer is that Pearson is closer, and Buffalo makes sense when the fare or the flight makes it worth the extra road.

Good to know

  • Western University sits on the north and south banks of the Thames River in London, with the main campus immediately northwest of the central business district.
  • London Health Sciences Centre is collectively one of Canada’s largest acute care teaching hospitals, formed in 1995 by the merger of University Hospital and Victoria Hospital, and includes the Children’s Hospital and the London Regional Cancer Program.
  • Victoria Hospital is at 800 Commissioners Road East in southwest London and is a centre for obstetrics, pediatrics and trauma.
  • Canada Life Place, the downtown arena, opened in October 2002 as the John Labatt Centre, was later known as Budweiser Gardens, and took its current name in October 2024. It is the largest such venue in southwestern Ontario.
  • London is known as the Forest City and was named the 2026 Forest Capital of Canada by the Canadian Institute of Forestry.
  • From Buffalo Airport the route crosses the Peace Bridge and runs inland through Hamilton and the 403 to the 401, then west to London.

How your trip works, step by step

  1. Book with the exact address. For a hospital, name the hospital and the entrance; for the university, name the building or residence.
  2. Add your flight number. This is our longest regular Ontario run, so a delayed landing changes the whole day and tracking matters most here.
  3. Your driver crosses at the Peace Bridge, with the first 35 minutes of border wait included, and runs inland to the 401 and west.
  4. Drop-off is at the hospital entrance, the campus building or the door you gave.

Trips we plan on this route

Medical trip to the hospital

A family travelling for care names Victoria Hospital and the entrance, and the driver plans the drop for the right side of the city.

Western move-in

A parent flying in with a student names the residence and the luggage count, and a vehicle with the right room is sent in advance.

Coming home for a family visit

A resident flying into Buffalo for the fare books door-to-door to a London address with both flights given, so the return is already planned.

What to have ready when you book

  • Exact address, hospital and entrance, or campus building
  • Flight number and landing time, which matter most on a run this long
  • Luggage volume for a campus move or a longer stay
  • Passenger count, any child seats and any mobility needs
  • Passports or accepted documents for the crossing, and your return flight

Questions specific to this trip

Which hospital do I name?

The one on your appointment letter. London Health Sciences Centre includes both University Hospital and Victoria Hospital, and they are on different sides of the city. Give us the hospital name and the entrance and the driver plans the drop from that.

Is Buffalo a sensible airport for London, Ontario?

Pearson is closer. Buffalo makes sense when the fare or the flight makes it worth the extra road, and for those travelers the single vehicle from BUF to the door with no connection is the point.

How is a run this long planned differently?

We track the flight more closely, because a delay at BUF is a delay at the far end. We build the return into the same booking, because arranging a ride back at short notice is hard from this far out. And we quote the drive honestly rather than as a best case.

How much is a shuttle from Buffalo Airport to London, Ontario?

The flat rate is $580 per vehicle, one way from Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF). The price is confirmed before you book, with no surge pricing and no hidden charges.

How long is the ride from Buffalo Airport to London, Ontario?

The drive is about 130 miles, about 2 hours 20 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the border crossing on the day you travel.

Do I need a passport to travel to London, Ontario?

Yes. Every traveler crossing into Canada is responsible for carrying a valid passport or other accepted travel document. Requirements vary by citizenship and age, so check official government guidance before your trip.

Are there extra fees if the border is slow?

Your flat rate includes up to 35 minutes of border wait time. On the rare occasion a crossing runs longer, additional time is billed transparently at $35 per hour, with no hidden surcharges.

Can I take an Uber from Buffalo Airport to London, Ontario?

Rideshare apps do not cross the US and Canada border, so an Uber or Lyft cannot complete this trip. A private cross-border shuttle like ours handles the entire route and the crossing.

Will you track my flight if it is delayed?

Yes. Add your flight number to your booking and we track your arrival, adjusting pickup so your driver is ready when you land.

Is the ride to London, Ontario private?

Yes. Every booking is a private vehicle for your group only. You are never placed in a shared ride or routed through other passengers’ stops.
