Airport shuttle service across Western New York

Buffalo Niagara International Airport sits in Cheektowaga, a few minutes east of the Buffalo city line, which means most of Western New York is a short domestic trip with no border crossing and no passport to organise. Buffalo Shuttle covers that whole footprint: the city itself, the Erie County suburbs that ring it, and the Niagara County river towns to the north as far as Lockport and Lewiston.

These are the trips where a flat rate matters most. A run from the airport out to Orchard Park or up to Lockport is short enough that surge pricing on a rideshare can cost more than the ride itself, and early departures out of the outer towns are exactly when app coverage thins out. We quote the fare per vehicle before you book and hold it, whatever the clock says on the morning of your flight.

Every address in Erie and Niagara County is served, whether or not it has a page on this site. If you do not see your town listed, give dispatch the street address and we will confirm the fare and the pickup window the same day.

Erie County, the home county of the airport

Erie County is where the airport actually sits, so these are our shortest and cheapest transfers. Downtown Buffalo hotels are roughly fifteen minutes from the terminal. The northern suburbs of Amherst, Tonawanda and Clarence run twenty to thirty minutes depending on the 290. The southern towns of Orchard Park, Hamburg and East Aurora sit further out, and Grand Island is a straight run up the I-190.

For a 6am departure out of any of these, we recommend a pickup roughly two hours before your flight, and the driver tracks the inbound aircraft so an early or late arrival does not leave you waiting.

  • Buffalo and all city neighborhoods, including the Medical Campus and Larkinville
  • Cheektowaga, the town the airport itself sits in
  • Amherst, Williamsville and the University at Buffalo North Campus
  • Tonawanda, Kenmore and Clarence
  • Orchard Park, including Highmark Stadium
  • Hamburg, East Aurora and the southern towns
  • Grand Island

Niagara County, from the river to the canal

North of the airport, Niagara County follows the American bank of the Niagara River up to Lake Ontario. Niagara Falls NY and the state park are the busiest destinations, but a good share of our Niagara County work is residential: Lockport and its Erie Canal locks, Lewiston on the lower river, North Tonawanda at the canal mouth, and the smaller communities strung between them.

Worth being clear about one thing, because it catches visitors out. Reaching the American side of the falls from Buffalo Airport involves no border crossing at all. Only the Canadian side does, and those trips are priced separately because they include the wait at the bridge. If you are not sure which side your hotel is on, tell dispatch the hotel name and we will sort it out before you pay anything.

  • Niagara Falls NY and Niagara Falls State Park
  • Lockport and the Erie Canal locks
  • Lewiston and Artpark
  • North Tonawanda and Wheatfield
  • Niagara University and Niagara County Community College
  • Youngstown, Wilson and the lakeshore communities

Why a booked shuttle works better out here

In the city core a rideshare will usually turn up. Ten miles out, at five in the morning, that stops being reliable, and it is the single most common reason people call us for a domestic trip they could in theory book on an app. A reserved vehicle is assigned the night before, so there is no waiting to see whether a driver accepts.

The same goes for the return. Arrivals into BUF land in banks, and the queue for a taxi or an app pickup at the terminal is at its worst exactly when three flights come in together. A pre-booked driver is already there and meets you at the pole outside baggage claim.

Return trips to the airport

Every route on this page runs in both directions at the same flat rate. Departures from a Western New York address to BUF are booked the same way, and dispatch sets the pickup time from your flight rather than from a fixed rule, which matters if you are travelling from the southern towns or from Lockport in winter weather.

Round trips can be booked together in a single request so the outbound and the return sit on one confirmation.

  • Flat, upfront pricing confirmed before you book
  • Private vehicle for your group, never a shared ride
  • Insured, professional drivers
  • Flight tracking so your ride adjusts to delays

Buffalo Airport to Western New York questions

Do I need a passport for a Western New York trip?

No. Everything on this page is inside New York State, so there is no border crossing and no travel document beyond what your airline asks for. Only trips to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls or into Ontario require a passport.

My town is not listed. Do you still serve it?

Yes. We cover every address in Erie and Niagara County. The towns listed above are the ones with the most demand, not the limit of the service area. Send dispatch the street address and you will get a flat quote back.

How early should the pickup be for a morning flight?

For most Erie County addresses, about two hours before departure. Add thirty minutes from Lockport, Lewiston or the southern towns, and more in lake effect conditions. Dispatch confirms the exact time when you book.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle. Four people travelling together pay the same total as one person in the same vehicle, which is usually where a private shuttle beats a per-seat service on a domestic run.

Will you track my flight if it is delayed?

Yes. Add your flight number to your booking and we track your arrival, adjusting pickup so your driver is ready when you land.

Is the ride to Western New York private?

Yes. Every booking is a private vehicle for your group only. You are never placed in a shared ride or routed through other passengers’ stops.
