If your flight number is on the booking, nothing. We track the inbound flight and move your pickup to match the real landing time, at no extra charge and without you needing to call from the air. The delay only becomes a problem when we are working from a stated pickup time with no flight to track.

Step by step

  1. Add the flight number when you book

This is what makes everything else automatic. Airline, flight number and scheduled arrival are enough.

  2. We monitor the inbound flight

The assigned pickup time is adjusted against the aircraft’s actual arrival, whether that is earlier or later than scheduled.

  3. Your driver is briefed on the new time

The driver works to the updated arrival, so a delay does not mean a driver waiting on the meter or leaving without you.

  4. If the delay is severe or you are rerouted

Contact dispatch. A diversion to another airport or an overnight cancellation is a change of trip, not a change of timing, and needs a person to re-plan it.

  5. Cross-border trips get the buffer re-checked

A much later arrival can mean a different border picture, so the crossing plan is revisited with the new timing.

The short version

  • Flight tracking is the mechanism; the flight number is what switches it on.
  • Early landings are handled the same way as late ones.
  • A booking without a flight number is planned against the time you gave, so tell us if it changes.
  • Diversions and cancellations need a call, because the trip itself has changed.

Where a delay genuinely does cost you

Delay handling is straightforward on an arrival transfer. It is much less forgiving on an airport-to-airport connection, such as Buffalo to Toronto Pearson, where a late inbound eats directly into the time you needed for the drive, the border and check-in at the far end. We will re-plan and we will tell you honestly if the connection now looks too tight, but no ground operator can absorb an airline delay on your behalf or take responsibility for a missed onward flight.

That is why we ask for both flight numbers on connection trips at the time of booking, rather than only the one you are landing on.

Verified details

  • Adding a flight number lets us track the inbound aircraft and adjust pickup automatically for both delays and early arrivals.
  • Dispatch operates 24 hours a day, so a delay pushing an arrival into the early hours is still covered.
  • Our fares are flat and confirmed before booking, with no surge pricing, so a delayed arrival does not change the quoted rate.

Questions about this

Will I be charged extra if my flight is late?

No. The fare is flat and confirmed before you book, and tracking a delayed flight is part of the service rather than an add-on. There is no surge pricing and no waiting-time charge for a tracked flight arriving late.

What if my flight is diverted to another airport?

Call dispatch as soon as you can. A diversion changes the trip rather than the timing, so it needs to be re-planned by a person: a different pickup point, potentially a different distance, and a new quote. Flight tracking handles delays, not destination changes.

Does this work for an airport-to-airport connection too?

We track it the same way, but be realistic about the maths. On a Buffalo to Pearson connection a long delay can make the onward departure genuinely unreachable once you add the drive, the border and check-in. We will flag it if the timing stops working, but we cannot guarantee a connection or assume airline responsibility.
